Mastering On-Set Styling: How to Own the Photoshoot Like a Pro
Styling on set isn’t for the faint of heart—it’s fast-paced, high-pressure, and nothing like playing dress-up. But mastering it? That’s what separates the amateurs from the pros.
Working on photoshoots has sharpened my skills in ways no other styling experience could. It’s made me:
✔️ More resourceful – When a model’s outfit doesn’t fit, or a key piece goes missing, I know how to fix it—fast.
✔️ More confident – If I can handle last-minute changes, demanding clients, and tight deadlines, I can handle anything.
✔️ More skilled – I’ve styled all body types, all personalities, and all types of shoots.
✔️ And QUICK – The turnaround time for most shoots is days, not weeks. Speed is everything.
You don’t need years of on-set experience to start styling like a pro—I’ve put everything I’ve learned into this mini-course so you can skip the trial and error.
I’ve styled on major sets including MTV, the CW, countless commercials, music videos, national brands and of course, individual clients. Now I’m passing down my knowledge and skills to you.
Let me teach you how to navigate set life, impress clients, and secure repeat bookings—so you can step into your next shoot ready to own it.

About Your Instructor:
Forbes 30 Under 30 listed stylist, Brittany Diego's work has been featured at red carpet events like the Oscars and Emmys as well as countless celebrity clients and companies including Revolve, JustFab, MTV, BET, Lori Harvey, Karen Civil, Trevor Jackson, Draya Michele, and more.
Brittany was flooded with requests for career advice from aspiring stylists, however, having experienced firsthand the lack of resources and mentorship in the industry due to the competitive nature of the business, she decided to launch her then-blog, Fashion Mentor, in 2018.
The blog has since evolved into a career-development platform with an online Fashion Stylist Academy and annual Fashion Stylist Summit where students have gone on to have their work featured on major red carpets like the Grammys, assisted at the MET Gala, and have styled magazine covers, TV shows and styled clients including:
Angela Simmons
Bad Bunny
Kenya Moore of RHOA
Nick Cannon’s “Wild N’ Out”
Amazon
Rolling Loud
MTV Awards
BET Awards
And so much more
Most recently, Brittany is the author of the book "The Fashion Stylist Blueprint" where she breaks down all of her industry insider knowledge to the next generation of fashion stylists.
